Donna is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her career has taken many twists and turns through retail mall management, commercial real estate development, personal insurance, commercial insurance, and finally at the worlds third largest brokerage firm before becoming an entrepreneur. The year 2017 was when her purpose was realized by enrolling in a how to become an entrepreneur class. This was a twelve-week program that tested the limits of her dedication to herself and her tenacity to trust the process. One week after completing the course, she did her first of two pop up shops before securing a landing spot for her business in December of that same year.
The path to entrepreneurship has taken several turns and required several pivots, but Donna held fast and has now opened her own brick and mortar location in December, 2021, which is The DSC Vision Corner. It is a plus size women’s clothing boutique that also carries bras and shapewear, statement jewelry and fashion bags.
Donna Coleman understands that faith without works is dead. Expansion of the business took place less than five months from the date of her grand opening. She says that God has given her everything she needs to be successful. It’s her task to constantly pull what she needs from the tool belt The Master has provided.
